Jay Raveendran

Director/Physiotherapist

Being in the health industry for over 5+ years as a Physiotherapist, I started to understand that compassion driven quality service was lacking. It seems like a race to who can acquire the most financial gain. Taking time to understand the story of the person in front of you, their strife, or their strengths can unlock great health outcomes, however I noticed repetitively that this was missing. It was for this reason I founded Hopevana to offer compassionate health care delivery so that hope finds its way back into peoples lives again.

I attained my Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney and have gained years of experience in the field of private practice and the disability sector. My specialty is in treating Back and Neck pain where I have a passion for all things “the spine”. I have undergone further studies – some of which includes Neuro-Kinetic Therapy, Fascial Therapy, Mulligans and McKenzie treatment Methods. In addition I have also undertaken a certified course on Neuro-Linguistic programming. It allows for me to truly understand your struggles or grievances by allowing me to communicate with you effectively to help improve your confidence, fears and mood levels.

My ultimate goal is to utilize a holistic approach into getting you back to where you need to be. I listen to your story, gain insight into the core root of your issue to design a recovery plan that will place you in a position in life where you felt whole again. I value commitment, and at Hopevana we will not give up on you.

Physiotherapist

Having a great passion for helping others achieve their best potential, I realised that a tool to make this happen was simply showing compassion and having the desire to really find out the whole picture of my client’s story. Spending that extra time to look beyond their physical complaints, but also understand their daily routine, hobbies and what they love is powerful in obtaining the best results in their journey of recovery and well being.

I completed my Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Western Sydney University on an Academic Excellence Scholarship and have been on the Dean’s Merit List throughout. I have had the privilege of working for elite sporting teams like Football NSW, Pacific Islands at the International Universities Rugby League World Cup, Wenty Leagues Rugby League Club, and Macarthur Rams National Premier League. Through these experiences I have come across a magnitude of presentations and conditions and how to manage them.

To enhance my knowledge I have undergone extra studies, which include Dry Needling, Fascial Therapy, Mckenzie and Mulligans Therapy.

As a therapist I love seeing my clients make progress, where I gain so much satisfaction and inner-peace from this. I will use the latest research, provide a patient-centered approach, focus on long-term solutions and make sure to unleash the best version of you.

I truly believe that every client, whether they are living with chronic pain or experiencing functional limitations, can find a solution to live a happy and meaningful life!

Anusha Rajan

Physiotherapist

I am a graduate from Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Western Sydney University. I am passionate about helping others but most importantly my passion lies in seeing results!

I understand that each client is different and comes with different needs. Ultimately, I want to guide my clients through their recovery process in a holistic way that is evidence-based and which works for them.

I am particularly interested in the holistic practice of Ayurveda and its healing benefits. And I aim to incorporate this into my practice as I grow in my career. I also have a special interest in the shoulder. I have taken extra-curricular courses such as Jo Gibsons Shoulder Course to further elevate my treatment results.

I genuinely believe there is hope for everyone to live a happy and fulfilling life, as long as you are willing to take that first step!

My philosophy is that everyone deserves not just good, but great health care.  To deliver this effectively we need to look beyond the diagnosis – and right to the client themselves. I believe that only when we understand the individual that we can truly help.

I completed my Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney and I have been fortunate enough to work as a Senior Physiotherapist with NSW Health, internationally across the United Kingdom for a few years, as well as spending months volunteering in Nepal. Coming from a predominantly hospital based background I understand the long journey of recovery and I always strive to go the extra step with my clients to deliver holistic, patient centered care that will of most benefit.

My areas of interest include all things orthopedic, neurological, chronic and complex. I have also spent a large part of my professional development expanding my musculoskeletal knowledge as well as developing auxiliary skills such as motivational interviewing and carer training.

Together we can work towards your goals and guide you to express your full potential within!
